The first realtime 3D vehicle configurator application for Microsoft Surface, which was developed by Frankfurt-based Neue Digitale / Razorfish, was showcased earlier this month at the annual Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA), the world’s leading automotive fair.
Developed in collaboration with Munich-based Realtime Technology AG, the application allows multiple users to configure an Audi A4 simultaneously by changing the car’s paint finishes, rims and by selecting and coloring style package components, writes Neue Digitale / Razorfish’s Heiko Schweickhardt on the Razorfish Emerging Experiences blog. This isn’t the first automotive-related Microsoft Surface application developed by Razorfish. Earlier this year we covered Carville, the first Microsoft Surface experiment out of the New York office of Razorfish.
